Improve your communication skills under Northern latitudes

Toastmasters (www.toastmasters.org) has developed various manuals to support your training in communication and leadership.

Once you become a member, you will receive a package with Toastmasters’ basic manuals telling you all you should put in practice to improve your public speaking and leadership skills. By successfully managing the ten proposed speeches in the competent communicator manual – each focusing on some specific aspect of public speaking (icebreaker, your body speaks, research your topic, etc.), you will earn the title of “competent communicator” and and by taking your share of work in the functioning of the club’s and other events you will become a “competent leader” (e.g.: be a table topic master, propose the “word of the day”, etc.).

The Toastmasters adventure does not stop there and you can deepen your knowledge and training by proceeding with the series of advanced manuals which will enable your to approach PR, technical presentations, storytelling, interpretative reading, etc.  with similar insight. This progression will also be rewarded with other Toastmaster titles.
